The Okanagan

Valley snow and ski
The Okanagan, British Columbia
A wine lover's and skier's paradise, where sunny days make for year-round outdoor fun.

Wine and powder snow for everyone

Spend your day in the tasting rooms at local wineries or head off for turns at one of the local slopes. After a day of skiing or snowshoeing, slip away for a superb dinner at one of the local restaurants. Some of the best are right in the local wineries.

More mountains and more great wine

No matter how well you ski, the Okanagan is the place to be. From small resorts to world-class downhill, for beginner or expert, there's a hill for you. Take a lesson at Silver Star, Big White, Apex or one of the other, smaller resorts and come away a better skier.

A smorgasbord of winter fun

Head to the mountains and try your hand icefishing. Or rent a snowmobile and tear down mountain trails. Or slow down and indulge yourself at one of the many food and wine festivals that take place up and down the valley.

If you have one week...

Head out to one of the ski resorts a little further afield. Sun Peaks and Revelstoke Mountain Resort have champagne powder, high-speed lifts and excellent lodgings waiting for you. Hire a guide and go out for a day tour or a catski beyond the ropes.
