Whistler

Mountain playground
Whistler, British Columbia
Even before Whistler became an Olympic town, there was an endless list of amazing things to do. It's North America's most exciting outdoor playground.

Ride to the alpine and look down on the valley

Climb aboard the Whistler Gondola and whisk yourself up to the high alpine. Then ride the Peak 2 Peak between Whistler and Blackcomb. It's the longest and highest lift of its kind in the world. Then have a beer and lunch on a sunny deck and drink in the mountain views.

Zip, bike, paddle, and laugh

Go zip-lining on a cable and zoom between the trees. Rent a canoe and paddle down the River of Golden Dreams. Take a mountain bike from the top of Whistler to the village. Then head out to dinner at one of the world-class restaurants on the Village Stroll.

There's all kinds of playing in this valley

Tee off at one of four champion-designed golf courses in Whistler Valley. Stroll through the village and wander into art gallery, clothing stores, or just settle into one of the inviting pubs and restaurants. Take a spectacular helicopter tour and see it all from an eagle's view.

If you have one week...

Ride back up the gondola and spend a day hiking the well-marked trails in the alpine. Or go for a guided hike in the nearby Cheakamus valley. Drive up to the nearby Bridge River valley and explore BC's gold mining country. Go whitewater rafting on the Green and Elaho rivers.
